Tomorrow Is Redesign Time

Tomorrow Mike is supposed to push live a hot new redesign of the Business Logs site. I say “supposed to” because we have a bet that he won’t get it out. Now let me tell you that this redesign is simply hot. It will quite possibly revolutionize how blogs are designed in the future. Rundle has this uncanny ability to stay on the cutting edge of interface design and this time is no different.

So tomorrow afternoon there should be a redesign of this site that has won so many awards that our shelves are getting filled. It’s very rare where you can go from great to greater and tomorrow we will achieve that. If you are able to sleep you should feel fortunate because I am really on the edge of my seat.

About Paul Scrivens

Comments

  1. I’ve seen it. Extra sticky.

  2. David says:

Not even a small thumb of the design? Nothing…come on… You got me all excited for nothing. :P

  3. If anyone can change the way blogs are designed, it’s Mike. I’m desperate to see it – I’m dying over here. What time tomorrow? :-)

  4. Kyle Jones says:

You talk big but can you deliver ? hahah, looking forward to it :)

  5. Mike Rundle says:

Kyle – I’ll deliver about as well as you did…… haha sorry homie, had to drop it ;)

Of course Paul’s hyping the shit out of the redesign so now all the pressure is on. I’ll be working on it a ton, and parts should be going live periodically between later tonight and tomorrow afternoon (Pacific time.)

  6. Timmy says:

Man you guys always come out with incredible stuff and I know tomorrow will be no different. I hope you just didn’t switch the columns around or something.

  7. HAHAHAHA. Shit, did I just comment a laugh?

  8. kevin says:

“It will quite possibly revolutionize how blogs are designed in the future.”

    Ummmmm… yeah.

  9. Andy Hume says:

Paul, you’re learning from the hype machine that is… 37 Signals. ;)

  10. While we are launching a slightly changed website it will be nothing revolutionary at all. I was simply practicing my hyping skills and poking a bit of fun at all the hype machines set in motion really. It would be crazy for anyone to say they are going to revolutionize blog design when all it is is just a blog.

But seriously, this was to get at Mike because he was literally sitting right next to me when I wrote it and being a virtual company it was an opportunity that doesn’t happen very often.

So now I am trying to unhype the hype article. Is that possible? Probably not.

  11. Will this be a Web 3.0 blog? ;D

    Looking forward to the redesign!

  12. khaled says:

After an intro like that I’m going to have to hold up on my redesign launch for a couple of days, you bastards :).

  13. Isn’t it tomorrow?

  14. Mike Rundle says:

    Hey Lisa-

It sure is tomorrow! Many pages are already up on the site (but with ’2′s attached to the file names) and I’ll be pushing most of the site live starting very soon. Stay tuned ;)

  15. Awesome job guys! Mike, seriously… great work. You made some subtle changes, but they were just the right ones. I might have gotten stuck in the hype machine there for a bit ;-), but it really is a great re-design. The typography and super-subtle color choices makes your work really stand out. It looks minimalist, but it’s actually quite complicated. It’s always harder to make something look easy. You did that so well.
